Our new charity for 2020 is... Hope for Food!
Hope for Food is a local charity based in Bournemouth set up and run entirely by Volunteers.
Hope for Food’s mission is "to assist men, women and children in Bournemouth and the surrounding areas, who are either homeless or living in poverty, by providing
fresh food at our soup kitchens and hampers of food, good quality clothing, bedding and household goods, where needed. We aim to preserve the dignity of those we help and treat everyone with the
utmost respect, without judgement. We help anyone who reaches out to us in need."
Bournemouth & District JLD will be encouraging its members' firms to each spend a month promoting Hope for Food and collecting canned and non-perishable food from their employees, which will be presented to the charity at the end of the month. If you would like to arrange this with the JLD and your own firm, please contact our Charities Officer Rebecca Chadwick (email@example.com) or our LPC Representative Georgina Galton (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more details.
You can find a list of the items Hope for Food are requesting in particular at their Facebook page, which is regularly updated:
We are supporting Hope for Food as our 2020 Charity of the Year!
